Each enterprise in the country must have its own clear development plan, as this is the key to its future viability, Dmitry Slonsky, a delegate to the Belarusian People’s Congress from Minsk Oblast and head of the mechanical assembly shop No.5 at OAO Borisov Plant Avtogydrousilitel, told BelTA.
“Today, in preparation for the congress, the program of social and economic development for the upcoming five-year period is actively discussed. This is done to ensure this document, which will guide our lives, is clear to everyone and meets the needs of the people. However, making plans in the current environment is challenging, as we must consider both the geopolitical situation and sanctions pressure,” Dmitry Slonsky noted. “But these difficulties should become growth drivers for us: we need to work on increasing labor productivity, introducing innovations, carefully utilizing human resources potential while preserving the institution of mentorship and providing competent support for young professionals starting their career path.”
The delegate to the Belarusian People’s Congress is convinced that each enterprise in the country must have its own clear development plan, as it is the key to its future viability. “Our plant is currently implementing two investment projects: creating automatic production of dual-circuit steering mechanisms and establishing flexible automated production of power steering pumps and hydraulic steering system flow indicators. By completing their implementation, we will contribute not only to the development of domestic mechanical engineering but also to solving the pressing issue of import substitution. Such measures boost the team’s confidence in the future, help it unite, and carry out current tasks more efficiently,” the delegate to the Belarusian People’s Congress said.
As Dmitry Slonsky emphasized, the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress will be the most important event of the year for him as a delegate and a representative of the industrial sector of Borisov, one of the largest cities in Minsk Oblast.

Dmitry Slonsky noted that a strong economy contributes to the development of the country’s regions. “Speaking of Borisov, much has changed in the city and district. And it’s not just about the economy, but also about the proactive stance of the leadership, which truly cares for its district. Roads and housing are being built, culture and education are developing. In the upcoming five-year period, we need to preserve and enhance all of this. Everything is in our hands,” he emphasized.
