MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) - The Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer Gomselmash has opened a branded classroom at Irkutsk State Agricultural University named after A.A. Ezhevsky, BelTA learned from the company.

Aleksandr Novikov, director general of the company, is sure that machinery should be in capable hands, and for this purpose it is important to train future operators and engineering personnel. “Now students of the Irkutsk university will be able to learn more about agricultural machinery,” he emphasized.

The Belarusian company said it is the farthest classroom at the moment – almost 6,000km away from Gomel. “The classroom features modern equipment. For example, with the help of a graphic tablet it is possible to conduct interactive training on Gomselmash machinery. Every year about 20 Gomselmash harvesters are supplied to Irkutsk Oblast - this is about 50% of the grain harvesting equipment supplies. Its operation requires qualified personnel. Irkutsk State Agricultural University has created all necessary conditions for training students,” the company said.

Gomselmash and Bryanskselmash have recently opened a branded classroom at Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The project with the opening of a branded classroom of Gomselmash and Bryanskselmash was implemented jointly with the dealership center of the Palesse-South Trading House. The classroom is equipped according to modern quality standards. It is designed for 75 comfortable seats. A large-format LED screen and a ceiling acoustic system are installed for the convenience of information broadcasting. There is also an air conditioning system.

The classroom opening was attended by Gomselmash Director General Aleksandr Novikov, and Bryanskselmash Director General Andrei Shilin. A cooperation agreement was also signed between Gomselmash and Stavropol State Agrarian University. The document opens new opportunities for students and specialists in agriculture, thus contributing to the development of education and application of innovations in the agro-industrial complex.

Aleksandr Novikov emphasized the importance of investing in the education of young people. According to him, educational and production processes are inextricably linked. “We clearly understand that it is necessary to invest in young people who will continue our endeavors and continue to develop engineering in the future,” he emphasized.

Opening branded classrooms in Russian educational institutions is a long-standing tradition of the Belarusian harvester manufacturer. Since late 2021, such work has become systematic. In recent years, Gomselmash branded classrooms have been opened in the Novosibirsk, Moscow, Kursk, Belgorod regions, the Republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, and Stavropol Territory. Such classrooms provide necessary conditions to learn about the principles of setting, adjustment, maintenance of individual units and mechanisms.

Gomselmash Holding Company is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery and is one of the world’s leading producers of combine harvesters and other complex agricultural equipment. The company manufactures a wide range of grain and forage harvesters, cob harvesters and potato harvesters, mowers and other agricultural machinery.
