Belarus, Ukraine agree to resume navigation along Dnieper River soon

ZHITOMIR, 4 October (BelTA) – The matter of resuming navigation along the Dnieper River will be resolved soon. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Lyashenko made the statement during the 2nd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine in Zhitomir on 4 October, BelTA has learned.

The official said: “Our capabilities in the area of transportation and logistics are not fully used. I would like to express gratitude for today's decision by Volodymyr Zelensky, according to which the matter of navigation along the Dnieper River will be resolved very soon.”

In his words, the country also has prospects of cooperation in modernizing Ukrainian infrastructure, including road construction, accomplishment of territories, and the renewal of the fleet of passenger vehicles, municipal vehicles, and road construction machines. Apart from that, Belarus and Ukraine are ready to advance cooperation in petrochemical industry and energy industry.
