Belarus, Sudan to cooperate in customs affairs

MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus Yuri Senko and State Minister of Finance of Sudan Mustafa Yousif Holi signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs on 10 December, BelTA has learned.

The document is designed to improve the legal base of Belarus-Sudan cooperation. It stipulates the main principles and forms of interaction, procedures for sending requests and providing information needed to detect, suppress, and investigate customs violations.

The document's implementation will help unify and harmonize customs procedures, representatives of the State Customs Committee of Belarus told BelTA. It will have a positive effect on the accomplishment of the tasks the Belarusian and Sudanese customs bodies face.
