Belarus-Russia Union State MPs to take stock of 2019

MOSCOW, 17 September (BelTA) – The commission on social and youth policy, science, culture and humanitarian matters of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State will discuss the progress made by the Union State in the social sector. The MPs will gather for the session in Russia's Rostov-on-Don on 23 September, BelTA has learned from the press service of the assembly.

“We are planning to take stock of the Creativity of the Young festival in 2019 and other Union State events such as recuperation of children from regions of Belarus and Russia affected by the Chernobyl accident, medical spa treatment for veterans and disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and the 28th edition of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk,” said the press service.

MPs are going to discuss the work plan of the Parliamentary Assembly's commission on social and youth policy, science, culture, and humanitarian matters for 2020 and the progress in planning the commission budget for 2020.

The session will take place during the Youth for the Union State festival. Attending the event will be representatives of the Union State Standing Committee, Culture Ministries of Belarus and Russia, the legislative assembly and the government of Rostov Oblast, the youth associations of Belarus and Russia, the members of the Youth Chamber under the Parliamentary Assembly.
