MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – The fifth joint session of the boards of the Belarusian Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry and the Russian Natural Resources and Environment Ministry will take place in Minsk on 23 September, the Belarusian Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry told BelTA.
The session will focus on the current state and prospects of development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, including hydrometeorology, environmental monitoring, use and protection of subsurface resources, biodiversity preservation, the development of ecotourism in the transboundary designated conservation area Zapovednoye Poozerye, and waste management.
There are also plans to work out a Belarusian-Russian joint stance within the framework of the global and regional climate agendas.
