Belarus, Russia to review progress in abolishing roaming charges

MOSCOW, 18 March (BelTA) – The work to scrap roaming charges between Belarus and Russia will be discussed at a session of the Commission for Information Policy of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State. The session will be held in Moscow on 21 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the assembly.

“At the instruction of Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State Vyacheslav Volodin, the Commission for Information Policy will hear out an interim report by representatives of the respective ministries of Belarus and Russia on the progress to drop roaming charges in the territory of the Union State. Apart from that, the Union State MPs will be updated on the efforts to establish a common information space in the Union State and on the execution of the Union State budget in 2018,” the press service informed.

Invitations to take part in the session were sent to representatives of the Union State Standing Committee, Belarus' Information Ministry, Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia, and Belarus' Communications and Informatization Ministry.
