Belarus presents strategy to reduce risk of emergencies in Ufa

MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Belarus has laid out the strategy to reduce the risk of emergencies currently at the 10th International Meeting of High-Level Representatives on Security Issues in Russia's Ufa, BelTA learned from the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus.

The plenary meeting focused on international cooperation in emergency humanitarian response. In his speech, State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Stanislav Zas touched upon Belarus' achievements in this area and told the participants about the development of the national strategy to reduce the risk of emergencies.

Head of the Belarusian delegation Stanislav Zas also held bilateral meetings with heads of security councils of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, and Uzbekistan. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in ensuring security.

During the visit, Stanislav Zas visited the memorial complex dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Ufa and commemorated the fallen soldiers.

Stanislav Zas is set to meet with members of the Belarusian diaspora in Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan on 20 June.
