Belarus’ PM instructs government agencies to enable new housing, utility rates as from 1 March

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin has instructed appropriate government agencies to ensure the realization of the approaches the head of state had authorized to raising housing and utility rates as from 1 March 2026 instead of 1 January, the government’s press service told BelTA.

With this in mind the government will pass a resolution followed by the necessary decisions of various municipal authorities.

“The measure is designed to protect interests of citizens and will allow offsetting higher heating costs in the current weather conditions,” the press service noted.
