MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) - Myanmar will receive shipments of pharmaceutical products manufactured by the Belarusian companies Belmedpreparaty and Minskintercaps. The signing of the pharmaceutical agreements took place as part of the Belarusian-Myanmar business forum in Yangon, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.
The Healthcare Ministries of the two countries have signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in healthcare. In 2025, three delegations from Myanmar visited Belarus, touring Belarusian pharmaceutical plants and healthcare institutions. Cooperation on the supply of Belarusian medicines to Myanmar has been ongoing since 2018.

As noted at the forum, regular ministerial contacts have been established between the two countries, and the legal framework is being developed. During a meeting at the level of the two states’ leaders, it was stated that Belarus and Myanmar are systematically deepening mutually beneficial and friendly relations, with the goal of increasing the prosperity of their citizens. The primary task now is to reinforce this high-level political engagement with solutions to specific economic and humanitarian challenges.

At the forum, the parties discussed the implementation of various initiatives and projects, including in the fields of healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
