MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian national telecom carrier Beltelecom has registered an increase in demand for Internet access services, IPTV, and other services in the last few weeks. The international Internet bandwidth usage has increased by about 10%, BelTA has learned.
Internet bandwidth usage used to peak in the evening in the past. Now the top Internet bandwidth usage shifted to the afternoon a bit.
Beltelecom continues working to secure the stable operation of the network in the face of increased demand. The company constantly monitors the quality of the network's operation. At present Beltelecom's telecommunication infrastructure operates without problems. Telecommunication services (Internet access, television, telephony, and other services) are provided in full. Meanwhile, Beltelecom's infrastructure is ready to handle bigger workload since it has a considerable throughput margin.
Beltelecom constantly expands international links to the most popular information resources. Traffic routing schemes are optimized when necessary. The throughput capacity may be increased within a rather short time window if necessary.
