Belarus, Indonesia to hold first competition of joint research projects

MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Indonesia will hold the first competition of joint research projects on priority areas of bilateral cooperation, including healthcare, energy, transport and logistics, agriculture and ICT, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee.

Applications for the competition will open in December 2018. The agreement was reached at the meeting between Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Alexander Shumilin and Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia Muhammad Nasir.

The parties also agreed to develop sci-tech and innovative cooperation, expand inter-university and academic student mobility programs.

The Indonesian delegation is in Minsk on 13-15 November. The program of the visit include the meeting of the Belarusian-Indonesian joint working group on cooperation in research, technology and higher education, and meetings at the National Academy of Sciences, the Education Ministry, and the Belarusian State University.
