MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Belarus hosted around 9,000 European visitors as part of the visa waiver program program over the past three months, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.
The leading inbound travel markets for Belarus over the past three months were Germany with 3,777 arrivals and Estonia (1,657 arrivals).
The top five also include: Italy (574 arrivals), France (314) and the UK (303).
The visa waiver is very popular with Belarus’ closest neighbors. Since the beginning of the year, Belarus hosted 66,493 visitors from Latvia, 74,049 from Lithuania, and 34,691 from Poland.
All in all, Belarus has welcomed 984,771 visitors from Europe since 15 April 2022 when the visa waiver program was launched.
