MINSK, 24 December (BelTA) – A delegation of the Belarusian State Communications Academy led by Rector Andrei Zenevich has visited the Hi-Tech Park for the sake of signing an agreement on interaction. The document stipulates concrete steps meant to advance innovation entrepreneurship and support a startup center at premises of the higher education institution. It is already the 13th higher education institution in the Hi-Tech Park’s ecosystem, the park’s press service told BelTA.
Head of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of the Hi-Tech Park Anna Ryabova underlined the strategic importance of such partnership: “Nowadays it is insufficient to give excellent technical knowledge to students. It is vital to discern their potential for creating new products and help realize this potential. Every new university in our network is not just another line in the report. We are talking about hundreds of young people, who get direct access to the expertise, infrastructure, and culture of the Hi-Tech Park. Our joint task is to help student startups evolve into serious Belarusian technology companies.”
The signed agreement is not a formality but a working plan. It stipulates concrete formats for sharing the best practices in the course of supporting student initiatives taking into account the unique profile of the Communications Academy. It is a logical continuation of the systemic work on the part of the Hi-Tech Park: a roadmap was approved together with the Education Ministry in July 2025 and the first 12 partner universities were chosen in 2024 for the sake of selecting and supporting talented young people with propensity for entrepreneurship.
The press service underlined that the Hi-Tech Park continues building a single and live ecosystem where an idea presented by a student can get the support it needs to make its way from the lab to the world market. The signing of the agreement with the Belarusian State Communications Academy is another confident step towards making innovative entrepreneurship a mass-scale and successful story in Belarus.
