MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Chargé
d'affaires of the Republic of Belarus in Japan Yevgeny Lavrinenko
has visited Hiroshima, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic
mission in Japan.

During the visit, the chargé d'affaires met with Hiroshima Mayor Kazumi Matsui. The parties discussed cooperation between the regions of Belarus and Japan and emphasized the importance of preserving peace amidst current global instability.
A meeting with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses was also held.
The Belarusian diplomat visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and laid a wreath at the monument to the victims of the atomic bombing of 6 August 1945.
