MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – The State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus is considering the possibility of participating in the project to create the light tactical aircraft Su-75 Checkmate together with Russia, the press service of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus told BelTA.
The agency is considering the proposal sent by AO Rosoboronexport in April 2025 regarding the possible participation in creating the light tactical aircraft Su-75 Checkmate. Experts discussed the project with representatives of the Russian side during the defense industry expo MILEX 2025 in Minsk in May 2025. Consultations between specialists are in progress now. Together with Russia’s aircraft-building plants the list of the aircraft’s parts and assembly components is being worked out for the sake of manufacturing them at 558 Aircraft Repair Plant and other units of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus. The necessary roadmaps for implementing the project are being prepared at the same time.
