Belarus' border service: Truck queues at border with Lithuania, Poland continue to increase

MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) - The number of trucks on the border with Lithuania and Poland continues to increase, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.

The number of trucks on the border with Lithuania increased by 37%. The route through the Salcininkai border checkpoint (Benyakoni on the Belarusian side) remains the busiest. About 450 trucks are waiting for registration here.

The queue on Belarus-Poland border rose by 18%. Over 230 vehicles are lining at the Bobrowniki checkpoint (Berestovitsa on the Belarusian side).

The Kuznica Bialostocka checkpoint has been closed for two months, which has affected the overall throughout capacity and increased the workload on other routes to the European Union

Over the past 24 hours, the number of trucks on the border with Latvia has not changed. There were more than 50 trucks at the Urbany checkpoint on the Belarusian-Latvian border as of 10.00.

More than 110 trucks are waiting to enter Lithuania at the Vidzy checkpoint, more than 280 at Kamenny Log, over 450 at Benyakoni, more than 370 trucks at Privalka.

More than 230 trucks are queuing at the Berestovitsa checkpoint on the border with Poland, more than 50 at Kozlovichi.
