Belarus, Azerbaijan discuss prospects of joint construction projects

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich held a meeting with Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 5 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Azerbaijan.

The parties discussed cooperation in the implementation of joint projects. Special attention was paid to the format and prospects of participation of Belarusian construction organizations in projects. The parties also discussed the implementation of bilateral agreements at the highest level.

In 2024, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko paid a state visit to Azerbaijan to discuss a wide range of issues related to Belarusian-Azerbaijani cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects.

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan were established on 11 June 1993. Over the years the two countries have developed strong traditions of bilateral relations, which includes openness, trust, friendship and mutual assistance.
