Belarus attends annual meeting of secretaries of CIS security councils

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas took part in the fifth annual meeting of secretaries of the security councils of the CIS member states in Moscow on 22 November, BelTA has learned.

Participants of the event discussed the situation in Afghanistan and ways to counteract the spread of radical religious movements in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Stanislav Zas also held bilateral meetings with members of the delegations from Azerbaijan, Moldova, Russia, and Afghanistan.

A memorandum of cooperation between the offices of the security councils of Belarus and Moldova was signed, too.
