MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – The government has approved the state program “Ensuring law and order” for 2026-2030. The corresponding Council of Ministers’ Resolution No. 752, dated 23 December, has been published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.
The program was developed in line with the national security priorities outlined in the Republic of Belarus’ National Security Concept that was approved by the Belarusian People’s Congress on 25 April 2024. The program aims to enhance the efficiency of the national security system.
Its primary goal is to improve the operation of internal affairs agencies, the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the penal system. To achieve this, the program sets out several key tasks. These include improving the infrastructure to enhance the effectiveness of internal affairs agencies in upholding the legitimate interests of citizens, society, and the state; providing necessary infrastructure for the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ internal troops; and ensuring adequate conditions for convicts and other individuals, as well as safe working conditions for employees and civilian personnel within the penal system.
The program outlines that these objectives will be met through the construction and renovation of 12 facilities for internal affairs agencies, 10 facilities for internal troops, and 4 facilities for the penal system. These improvements are expected to enhance working conditions, attract qualified and responsible personnel, and contribute to public safety, including reducing crimes against life and health and decreasing road accidents.
Implementation will be guided by consolidated target indicators. Funding for the activities is allocated under the State Investment Program.
