ALGIERS, 3 December (BelTA) - Belarus and Algeria have identified potential projects for military-technical cooperation, Chairman of the Belarusian State Authority for Military Industry Dmitry Pantus told the media in Algeria, BelTA has learned.
“Within the framework of the official visit of the head of state, an agreement on military-technical cooperation between our countries was signed. In the very near future, a commission on military-technical cooperation will begin its work. At the moment, we are holding the relevant consultations. Recently, we have done considerable work with our Algerian colleagues to identify potential projects for military-technical cooperation. A draft roadmap has now been drawn up, and we will shortly begin its practical implementation,” the head of the Belarusian State Authority for Military Industry said.
He clarified that this also involves the potential localization of production for certain types of goods in Algeria: “Algeria puts forward such requirements. We are ready and capable of this; these issues are currently under discussion.”
