Belarus admits over 50,000 Ukrainians since February

MINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – Belarus has admitted over 50,000 Ukrainians since February, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.

“From 6.00 on 24 February to 6.00 on 2 September, Belarus admitted 50,174 citizens of Ukraine. Over 34,000 of them came from the EU countries. 15,872 people arrived in Belarus directly from the territory of Ukraine. 28,149 citizens of Ukraine came to Belarus from Poland, 5,225 – from Lithuania and 928 – from Latvia,” the committee informed.
