MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – The rejection of Donald Trump’s plan has triggered reshuffles in Vladimir Zelensky’s inner circle, Bulgarian political analyst Plamen Paskov said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“I assumed that Zelensky would be replaced between April and June 2025, but I was wrong about the timing. However, I was not wrong about the trends. And this has happened now. This naturally begs the question: why now? U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll has recently visited Ukraine,” Plamen Paskov recalled. “All sources who shared details of the visit told almost the same story. They said the U.S. delegation behaved arrogantly and disregarded all forms of diplomacy.”
The analyst noted that Daniel Driscoll and other members of the U.S. delegation stated that Kiev must agree to the 28-point plan of U.S. President Donald Trump. The Americans also stated their readiness to stop sharing intelligence and providing any other support to Kiev if this agreement is not reached.
“Zelensky, of course, immediately rushed to the UK, France... He was seeking support. They talked the talk but made no promises and no concrete decisions,” Plamen Paskov emphasized.
In his opinion, it was Vladimir Zelensky’s rejection of Donald Trump’s plan that led to forced reshuffles in the Kiev regime. For instance, Head of Zelensky’s Office Andrei Yermak was forced to resign on 28 November after his apartment was searched by anti-corruption officials investigating a bribery scheme in Ukraine’s energy sector.
