1,000th passenger from Minsk promised tour of Moldova's government house

CHISINAU, 30 October (BelTA) – The 1,000th passenger on Belavia's new flight from Minsk will be taken on a tour of the country's government house, Moldova's Prime Minister Pavel Filip told the media at a ceremony to launch the Minsk-Chisinau flight in Chisinau International Airport on 30 October, BelTA has learned.

“The 1,000th passenger on a direct flight from Minsk will be given a welcome in the government and an opportunity to see one of the country's best wineries,” said Pavel Filip.

Moldova's prime minister will be among the first passengers of the Chisinau-Minsk flight on 30 October. He will be accompanied by a government delegation that will go to Minsk to discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.

Pavel Filip stressed that both the political and economic relations between Moldova and Belarus are at an unprecedentedly high level today. “These are not just relations between the two states. They are based on friendship, trust and mutual respect,” he said.

On 30 October the Belarusian air carrier Belavia launched a regular flight from Minsk to Chisinau. Flights to the capital of Moldova will be operated five times a week. The travel time is about an hour and a half. A one-way ticket costs €83, a return ticket €153. The flight will be operated using Embraer-175 aircraft (64 economy-class and 12 business-class seats).
