MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is going to tour the production facilities of Horizont Holding Company, BelTA has learned.
The head of state will be briefed on the company’s performance and development prospects. He will also attend a ceremony to launch the automated and robotic production of TV sets with artificial intelligence.
The new plant operates based on a “lights-out” principle with virtually no human intervention. All key operations are performed by industrial robots and automated systems integrated into an end-to-end digital production management cycle. Every stage, from panel assembly to final quality control, relies on machine vision, deep learning algorithms, and predictive analytics. This system checks approximately 500 parameters on each television, achieving a nearly zero defect rate.
The facility will produce not just TV sets, but next-generation automated devices that function as multimedia centers, intelligent assistants, and smart home control hubs.

The president last visited Horizont in January 2021. In a meeting with employees at that time, Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized the correctness of the earlier decision to preserve and develop the enterprise. He recalled visiting Horizont early in his presidency, when he was faced with determining the future of the company, which was struggling after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
“I remember that period when we had to take difficult decisions. We didn’t sell it, didn’t give it away for vouchers, and so on, it didn’t become the property of crooks,” the Belarusian leader said. “This is a great production facility, it represents our country’s image. Horizont was a truly legendary company. I don’t regret preserving this asset.”
