MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – The young Belarusian state can efficiently respond to any challenges, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the ceremony to present the Spiritual Revival Awards, special prizes to art luminaries, and the Belarusian Sports Olympus Awards in Minsk on 11 January, BelTA has learned.
“In the turbulent time of changes we managed to safeguard the independence of Belarus, advance our economy to a brand-new level, preserve and develop the social sector. However, the main thing is that we preserved ourselves, our mentality, integrity and souls. All of that what makes us united and confident about the future. The time has shown that our young sovereign state can find efficient responses to any challenges, if necessary,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
As an example, he mentioned the country's productive efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic. “We have been doing and are doing our best to protect the health and lives of our people,” he remarked.
