Lukashenko: Ukraine's destruction and loss of integrity are unacceptable

MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – Ukraine's destruction and loss of integrity are unacceptable. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement in an interview with Associated Press, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “I will tell you one thing I've been thinking about all the time recently. You know, it seems to me, kind of a wild thought that if, for instance, Poland and other countries continue behaving the way they do now, then we, Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine will fight together against you. Because individual people and politicians in Poland are sharpening their swords already and see Western Ukraine as part of Poland. In other words, they are thinking about Ukraine's dismemberment.”

“Even the current leadership of Ukraine cannot condone it,” Aleksandr Lukashenko continued. “Ukrainians themselves will not be able to resist so-called current allies. This is why I don't rule out the possibility that we, the three Slavonic nations, including Ukrainians, will have to defend Ukraine's integrity.”

“The destruction of Ukraine and the loss of Ukraine's integrity, independence are unacceptable for me. And I will do everything for Ukraine to stay in its borders,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stated. “Zelenskyy sees it. This is why I have this unusual and wild thought that we will fight together against Poles or someone else… Who are Poles? They are you, they are Americans [since Poland's policy is shaped by the USA]. There is England on one side and Poland on the other side. And you keep the European Union in a vice to prevent any movement. This is why time will tell.”

“It will be a very serious escalation, this is why it is necessary to stop,” the head of state urged.
