MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – I have an ice cream vending machine at home, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said on the sidelines of the State Quality Mark awards ceremony in Minsk on 20 January, BelTA has learned.
The Kobin-made ice cream ‘1962’ is among the products honored with the State Quality Mark. “I know what it is. Today, I indulged because of you and had some,” the head of state said as he approached the enterprise's display stand.
The ice cream is made according to a classic recipe. “I always insist that we reclaim the recipes from the Soviet era. This applies to you and others,” the Belarusian leader noted. “You are doing the right thing. Not all, but for the most part, Belarusian-made was better.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko also thanked them for the ice cream vending machine he has at home, which produces similar ice cream. “It's fantastic ice cream. Your machine is excellent. When I host foreign dignitaries, I show them it and say, 'Look at it.' They look and ask, 'What is that?' They think it's some kind of weapon. No, it makes ice cream. So, you carried out a good ideological diversion. Thank you, guys!” the head of state joked.
