MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko presented the State Quality Mark for the GS12A1 grain harvester produced by Gomselmash, BelTA has learned.
“You helped harvest the grain. Thank you! Well, I know this wondermachine,” the head of state said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko offered the staff of the enterprise advice for the future: “It's not easy to sell your products now. Maybe it’s better to produce a bit less but ensure high quality. Quality is essential. If a skilled machine operator works this equipment, I don't think it's worse than Western machinery. Our guy threshed 8,000 tonnes [referring to Pavel Shutilo, a machine operator from the Kukhchitsy enterprise]. I can't even imagine how that's possible. With any harvester.”
The president recalled that once people advised against the idea of making Belarus’ own combine harvester, claiming that it would be beyond the country’s capabilities. “Well, here we are. We made it. A good harvester. Just keep working on quality,” the head of state said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also praised the Amkodor W500C universal loader, which was likewise awarded the State Quality Mark. “Well done for making this machine. It is very necessary: large, productive, good. It can handle practically any cargo and is used everywhere, from public utilities to quarries,” he noted.
As it was reported to the head of state, the loader is a new-generation machine incorporating the best developments of the enterprise’s scientists and designers. Moreover, it is made almost entirely from domestic components.
Another product of Belarusian industry honored with the State Quality Mark was the MSKh-9 machine for applying powdered soil conditioners by Bobruiskagromash. It is designed for differentiated application of fertilizers. The president thanked the enterprise’s team for this development.
Aleksandr Lukashenko once again emphasized the importance of ensuring high product quality, which is especially critical for work in foreign markets, for example, in Africa. “The future lies with Africa. They like us there. We came to them in a human way, helping with technologies, teaching people. It’s not easy: competition there is fierce. Whoever comes first will be the one to work there. But quality is essential,” the president said.
