Lukashenko plans major foreign trip, meeting with Americans

MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke about an upcoming major trip and a planned meeting with Americans as he received a report from Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi on 20 November, BelTA has learned.

One of the topics in Dmitry Krutoi’s report concerned the president’s work schedule and foreign trips. The head of state noted that he is planning a major trip to the southern hemisphere.

“A very large trip is expected across the southern part of the world, starting in Myanmar, Oman, Algeria, and so on,” the president said.

The Belarusian leader also drew attention to the upcoming CSTO summit in Kyrgyzstan, which he also plans to attend. In addition, a traditional meeting of the leaders of CIS member states is scheduled in St. Petersburg at the end of the year. “Kyrgyzstan – the CSTO meeting. Then we return home and have a meeting in St. Petersburg,” the president added.

“The end of the year is going to be very difficult and demanding. Most likely, we will hold negotiations with our American partners in December. That is at least what we are currently preparing for. Therefore, the work schedule must be carefully adjusted so that I understand where I am needed, where I am not, and what we can accomplish,” Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed.
