MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko heard a report from Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Anatoly Isachenko on 4 February, BelTA has learned.
The report covered the state of affairs in the region in furtherance of the government conference held the day before to discuss the situation in Vitebsk Oblast. On 3 February the head of state noted that many of the identified issues can also be found in other regions of the country to a certain degree.
The report delivered by the head of the Mogilev Oblast administration focused on the state of affairs in agriculture in the region as a whole. The most topical issues and burning problems were emphasized.
In particular, the president was interested in the loss of cattle situation. He was told that a number of agricultural enterprises and districts see negative trends due to failures to follow the technology, due to mismanagement and the lack of discipline on the ground. Mobile groups have been set up to fix the situation. They go to agricultural enterprises and provide the necessary consultations and other kinds of aid.
The head of state also wondered how the cattle were dealing with winter, whether sufficient amounts of forage are available. This is why the operation of Mogilev Oblast’s compound feed producers was looked into: they are operating at full capacity, all the issues have been resolved.
The report also covered the workload of Mogilev Oblast meat and dairy enterprises. The situation has improved in this regard. For instance, meat enterprises are operating at 90% of the capacity on the average.
The head of the Mogilev Oblast administration also told the president about the construction and reconstruction of facilities in Shklov. Those are the projects the head of state keeps an eye on. They include a complex of organizations featuring a compound feed mill, an agricultural services enterprise, an agricultural chemicals enterprise, and a new milk-processing enterprise. All the facilities will be fully commissioned this year.
