MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko gave an interview to U.S. blogger Mario Nawfal on 27 February, BelTA has learned.
The head of state’s press service has been recently receiving many requests from new Western media outlets asking for an interview with Aleksandr Lukashenko. This proves that the West has a great interest in the opinion of the Belarusian president on the international agenda and the development of the situation in the region.
Mario Nawfal is a U.S. crypto entrepreneur and blogger, runs the Roundtable project on X. He was born in Lebanon, has Australian citizenship and a residence permit in the UAE. A number of media outlets refer to him as Elon Musk’s protégé, who is tasked with shaping the so-called new media of social networks. Its live broadcasts and numerous posts cover a wide range of topics, from the latest news to cryptocurrency trends.
The Roundtable project is video interviews with political and public figures. The number of their views ranges from 200,000 to 34 million. Among the guests of the show were Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico, former President of Hungary Katalin Novak, former President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, a member of the ruling family of Saudi Arabia, billionaire Al-Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, entrepreneur Elon Musk, U.S. businessmen and congressmen.
Mario Nawfal took an active part in the launch of a new show called 69 Minutes on the platform X. This is Elon Musk’s project created as a counterbalance to the “television mainstream”, namely, the socio-political TV show of the CBS television channel 60 Minutes.
Mario Nawfal considers himself to be objective and sees his mission as building bridges between East and West through new media. He speak in favor of the USA and Russia becoming true allies. As for the interview with Aleksandr Lukashenko, the blogger expects a deep and serious conversation.
