Lukashenko dismisses Poland’s statements as ‘huff and puff to please Americans’

MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – Poland’s statements are all huff and puff to please the Americans, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told the media a as he visited the Minsk City Technopark on 16 January, BelTA learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the Polish authorities can't sort things out with the internal political situation and the upcoming election campaign, so they are trying to shift the attention of their voters to Belarus.

“They need to sort things out at home first. There are a lot of problems. In order to avoid the responsibility before the people (elections are coming after all), they need to blame others. Whom? Belarus,” the president said.

The head of state recalled that the self-exiled opposition is still discussing plans for an armed attack on Belarus from the territory of Ukraine or Poland. “They are welcome to try it. But they’d better be ready for a response,” the Belarusian leader said. “We see that they are training some units and doing other things. We've seen them do it for a long time. But they’d better rethink their plans. These units are on Polish territory, and they can still use weapons against Poles. The Lithuanians have grown fed up with the Belarusians: our nationalists who exiled there (and who were welcomed by Lithuania) started to argue that Vilna and other places are actually Belarusian cities. Poles no longer know what to do with the Belarusian oppositions members who relocated there from Lithuania.”

“Life goes on. We don't need to worry much about Poles and things happening there. It's just chest puffing. To please the Americans. The Americans are now using Poland to destroy Europe (this is their goal. Trump will double down on this). It will be like with Ukraine. God forbid, of course,” Aleksandr Lukashenko summarized.
