Lukashenko congratulates Tokayev on election as Kazakhstan president

MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev who was elected Kazakhstan president, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Belarusian head of state expressed confidence that the political wisdom and rich life experience of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will contribute to the dynamic development of Kazakhstan, will help raise the wellbeing of Kazakhstani people and strengthen the common Eurasian home.

“I am convinced that the gradual expansion of the Belarusian-Kazakhstani cooperation relying on the principles of mutual trust and strategic partnership meets the interests of our nations. In this regard I am happy to accept your invitation to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan in the near future,” the message of greetings reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Kassym-Jomart Tokayev strong health, wellbeing and every success on the highest government post. He also wished Kazakhstani people peace and prosperity.
