MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent a message to President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev congratulating him on his election as the head of state, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The results of the election, which took place in a difficult political situation, testify to the popular support for your strategic course aimed at strengthening the sovereignty and independence of Bulgaria," the message of greetings reads.
The head of state expressed confidence that in today's conditions maintain pragmatic relations on the principles of mutual respect and partnership meets the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
The president reaffirmed commitment to expanding cooperation with Bulgaria across a wide range of areas: trade, investment, science and technology to humanitarian contacts and tourism.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Rumen Radev strong health and success in his responsible state post, and the Bulgarian people - peace, stability and prosperity.
