MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated HC Dinamo Minsk on a victory over HC Jokerit Helsinki in the KHL regular season on 12 December, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel Pul Pervogo.
“Well done, guys! The most important victory for Dinamo,” the resource cited Aleksandr Lukashenko as saying.
The resource noted that the Finnish club and some officials politicized the game, calling on the Belarusian fans to boycott the match. The effect was quite the opposite: the arena was packed, and the Dinamo players showed their true will to win.
Jokerit is now in the leading positions in the KHL. The Finnish club lost to Dinamo Minsk 3-5.
