MINSK, 3 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko commented on the Nado! [You must] flash mob as he spoke to the media. A fragment of the conversation with the head of state was aired by Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“When I saw it, I asked [Belarusian president Press Secretary Natalya] Eismont: ‘Did you arrange this?’ She swore that it was not her. I believe that she did not,” the head of state said.
“I like it. It is a kind of universal approval. I hope it was not pre-arranged,” the Belarusian leader said.
The journalist noted that people turn to journalists with requests to publish the videos they recorded. "You should publish them since people are asking. But I urge again not to overdo things here to avoid being accused of some kind of leaderism," the president stressed.
Natalya Eismont also commented on the topic: "People tell the president: ‘You must’. The message is crystal clear. People say such a weighty and capacious word. What to think of it? I think it's a good idea. A truly people's initiative."
