Lukashenko: Belarus committed to pragmatic dialogue with Norway

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to King Harald V of Norway and the Norwegian people as the country cerebrates the national holiday - Constitution Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state noted that Norway is the largest trade and economic partner of Belarus in the Nordic region. "It is good to see that the bilateral trade has maintained momentum despite the pandemic," the message reads. “Minsk is interested in continuing a pragmatic dialogue with Oslo on the principles of mutual respect. We look forward to maintaining constructive cooperation in various industries and working together in international organizations,” the message reads.

The Belarusian leader expressed confidence that Norway will be a responsible non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Harald V good health and new successes, and the Norwegian people - peace and harmony.
