Foreign leaders congratulate president, people of Belarus on New Year holidays

MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – New Year’s greetings keeping coming to Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Belarusian nation from foreign leaders, heads of international organizations, and prominent figures, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

Among those already received are greetings from the leaders of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Serbia, Vietnam, Kuwait, Myanmar, Algeria, Egypt, Bahrain, Morocco, Jordan, Palestine as well as from the leadership of various international organizations, including the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Eurasian Economic Union.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin wished Aleksandr Lukashenko good health, prosperity, and success in the coming year of 2026. “Close allied cooperation helps Russia and Belarus overcome with honor any difficulties associated with the challenging international situation. By coordinating efforts in foreign policy, defense, and security, Moscow and Minsk efficiently protect their legitimate interests on the world stage. The implementation of a set of measures aimed at strengthening our financial, economic, scientific, and technical sovereignty produces good results,” Vladimir Putin emphasized.

In his congratulatory message Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev noted that Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations had developed steadily over the past year and that cooperation had been strengthened in all priority areas. “I am convinced that in the coming year we will be able to fully realize the significant potential for cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus,” Ilham Aliyev emphasized. He wished good health, happiness, inexhaustible energy and success to Aleksandr Lukashenko, his family and friends. He wished prosperity and well-being to the friendly nation of Belarus.

In his message to the head of state and the people of Belarus, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov expressed firm confidence that through joint efforts Minsk and Bishkek will continue to consistently strengthen their multifaceted cooperation. “May the coming year consolidate the accomplishments, bring new achievements in the social and economic sphere, and increase the well-being of the Belarusian people,” the congratulatory message reads. “On the eve of the festivities allow me to wish you, dear Aleksandr Grigoryevich [Lukashenko], good health and further success, and the people of Belarus peace and prosperity. 

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian wished good health and success to the Belarus president and happiness and prosperity to the Belarusian nation. “I express my hope that in the coming year, through joint efforts based on the principle of peaceful coexistence and acting on the basis of justice, we will be able to ensure the establishment of peace and tranquility in the current turbulent world,” the congratulatory message reads.

In his message to the Belarusian leader President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev drew attention to the high level of advancement of Belarusian-Uzbek relations of traditional friendship and multifaceted partnership. “I am convinced that in the coming year, through joint efforts we will continue building on the mutually beneficial cooperation between our two countries, implementing new promising initiatives in the interests of our nations,” the Uzbekistan president emphasized. He wished good health, success in all his endeavors, and new achievements in his state activity to the Belarusian head of state as well as peace and prosperity to the friendly nation of Belarus.

In his congratulatory message to Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed confidence that in the coming year of 2026 Minsk and Dushanbe will fill their fruitful interaction with new practical content. “I am glad that in 2025 the relations of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between our countries maintained a high momentum and were marked by new joint steps towards their steady development for the benefit of our nations,” the message reads. Emomali Rahmon wished good health, happiness, and prosperity to Aleksandr Lukashenko and his family and peace, stability, and further sustainable progress to the brotherly nation of Belarus.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow has also sent his greetings to the president and the nation of Belarus: “I sincerely congratulate you on the coming New Year of 2026! I wish you good health, happiness, and success in your noble endeavors, which contribute to the strengthening of partnership and mutual understanding in the international arena. May the New Year bring prosperity and well-being to the people of your country.”

Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah wished good health and prosperity to the Belarus president and further development and prosperity to the good relations between the nations of the two countries. “I wish that the New Year will be a year of good for all humanity, bringing peace, security, and prosperity to all nations of the world,” added the Emir of Kuwait.

In his congratulatory message to Aleksandr Lukashenko Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the National Security and Peace Commission Min Aung Hlaing expressed his conviction that the existing potential for friendship between Belarus and Myanmar will be further strengthened in 2026. Min Aung Hlaing reaffirmed his firm commitment to tight cooperation with the Belarusian side for the sake of effective implementation of the reached agreements.

Warm wishes on the occasion of the festivities have been sent to Aleksandr Lukashenko by President of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi: “May the New Year be marked by the renewal of our commitment to stepping up joint efforts and constructive interaction, dialogue and mutual understanding in order to overcome current conflicts and promote joint aspirations for a more peaceful, stable and secure future for our nations.”

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has also sent sincere greetings to Aleksandr Lukashenko: “I wish you wonderful and happy holidays as well as a prosperous year, during which you will enjoy goodness, health, and success, and during which the friendly nation of Belarus and all the nations will live in peace, security, and prosperity.”

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill expressed his gratitude to the Belarusian leader for his unwavering dedication to protecting the traditional moral values and for his attention to the needs and aspirations of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, which collaborates with the state authorities and makes a significant contribution to the affirmation of the principles of peace, goodness, justice, and mutual support among the general public. “I wish you good health and God’s help in your future high and responsible service to the nation of Belarus,” the congratulatory message reads.
