MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants and guests of the 26th Minsk International Book Fair and the 5th International Symposium of Litterateurs Writer and Time, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“For many years this forum has been a significant cultural event in the life of Belarus. It brought together famous publicists, writers and publishers from all over the world, strengthened professional and business ties between them. Book publishing remains a trademark of our country, it connects the country's rich historical past and the eagerness of contemporary people to preserve and enrich the cultural legacy of the previous generations,” the message of greetings reads.
The president expressed confidence that this event will help promote books as the foundation of education and spiritual development, look for new ideas and mutually beneficial contacts in the humanitarian field.
