Belarus' Security Council chief Zas relieved of duties

MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – General-Lieutenant Stanislav Zas was relieved from his position as State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus due to the transfer to a new position. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed appropriate decree No.1 on 3 January, BelTA learned from the Belarusian leader's press service.

As BelTA has reported, Stanislav Zas took over as Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in January. The CSTO includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
