MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has awarded grants to 103 scientists, workers of education, healthcare and culture. The head of state signed a corresponding executive order on 8 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The funds will be used to finance research in physics, mathematics, technical sciences, medicine, biology, chemistry, agricultural science and economics. Grants will also help improve the quality of education thanks to the application of new methods, modern educational materials, training of participants of international and national academic excellence competitions.
Besides, financial aid has been allocated for the development of new methods of diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation in cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, anesthesiology, gastroenterology, pediatrics and allergology. The money will be used to create works of art, organize cultural and entertainment events, implement innovative projects in order to develop Belarusian culture and promote its achievements, preserve national spiritual traditions.
