MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) - Belarus' role as a bridge is fundamental to geopolitical factors, Cardinal Claudio Gugerotti, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches in the Vatican, said on the air of the First News TV Channel following a meeting with the Belarusian president in Minsk on 27 October, BelTA has learned.
“I want to thank Belarus and the Belarusian people. Their position has always been not to interfere in this war but, on the contrary, to prevent it. I am convinced that the next step is needed now. It is crucial for Europe to understand this, for there to be willingness for dialogue. Belarus' role as a bridge is fundamental to geopolitical factors,” Cardinal Claudio Gugerotti said.
