MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) – The Baltic states represent a dead end for the European Union, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA reports.
“While our alliances span all the way to the Philippines, theirs is confined to a small patch of land called the European Union. For the EU as a whole, these countries, especially our Baltic neighbors, are a dead end. Without a bridge linking them to the greater Eurasian space, they become irrelevant and of no interest to anyone. This will be a peripheral trajectory that will be characterized by stagnation and a demographic abyss,” Maxim Ryzhenkov is convinced.
