MOSCOW, 11 December (BelTA) – Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin described Belarus’ chairmanship in the Eurasian Economic Union in 2025 as active. He made the statement at an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Moscow on 11 December, BelTA has learned.

“I would like to thank our Belarusian colleagues for Belarus’ active chairmanship this year,” he said, addressing Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin.

The prime ministers of the other member states of the Eurasian "five" also praised Belarus' active promotion of the integration agenda during its chairmanship year.

Mikhail Mishustin stated that the EAEU is making a true contribution to creating a common space of partnership, cooperation and economic growth in Eurasia. “We respect each state’s right to its own development model, we take into account the interests of all participants, and we expect that our further work, as now, will continue to be based on these principles,” the Russian prime minister emphasized.
