Putin, Lukashenko discuss peaceful resolution of Ukraine conflict

BISHKEK, 26 November (BelTA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko discussed the Union State security and the pursuit of a peaceful settlement of the Ukraine conflict during a meeting on 26 November, BelTA has learned.
According to Vladimir Putin, ensuring the security of the Union State will be a key topic of conversation, noting that both leaders “have much to discuss.” He referenced a recent telephone conversation in which Aleksandr Lukashenko had briefed him on current relations with neighboring countries.
“I will gladly brief you on our progress toward achieving an acceptable outcome in Ukraine through peaceful means. I know this is a matter you follow closely and are deeply concerned about. You have consistently been among those striving to end this conflict,” the Russian president said.
