MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – Minsk hosted ministerial consultations between Belarus and Azerbaijan to take stock of the legal framework and other international legal matters of the Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations on 17-19 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich welcomed the participants of the consultations.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by Andrei Popkov, Director of the General Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Rashad Hasanov, Head of the International Law and Treaties Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Attending the meeting was also Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Belarus Maharram Aliyev.
During the consultations, the parties discussed the status of the draft international legal documents under consideration with a view to finalizing them and preparing them for signing. The parties also updated the lists of bilateral international treaties and other international documents signed between Belarus and Azerbaijan and shared practices of their implementation.
