MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) - The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has creatively congratulated its Russian colleagues on Diplomats’ Day via social media, BelTA has learned.
The message of greetings is accompanied by a collage featuring a handshake between Ministers Maxim Ryzhenkov and Sergey Lavrov against the backdrop of the Russian Foreign Ministry building. Next to them stands a golden samovar with a cup of hot tea.

“Friends, Happy Diplomats’ Day! Our partnership is like a good, strong cup of tea on a frosty day: indispensable, invigorating, and pleasing to both sides. May it continue to be so: swift decisions, clear agreements, and even more joint endeavors that truly make life better!” the message reads.
Russia celebrates Diplomatic Worker’s Day on 10 February. The holiday was established by a decree of the President of the Russian Federation on 31 October 2002. The date marks 10 February 1549, the founding day of the Ambassadorial Order, Russia’s first foreign policy body.
