Iranian president, Belarus' parliament speaker discuss economic cooperation

MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) – Upon the instruction of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko took part in the inauguration ceremony of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi on 5 August. Vladimir Andreichenko and Ebrahim Raisi held a meeting after the ceremony, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

“The chairman of the Belarusian parliament congratulated Ebrahim Raisi on his election and conveyed the warmest regards and congratulations from the Belarusian president. During the conversation, the parties discussed various aspects of trade and economic cooperation and Belarus-Iran interaction in international organizations,” the press service said.

Vladimir Andreichenko also held a one-on-one meeting with Chairman of the Islamic Parliament of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. In addition, a brief conversation took place with Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.
