MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – It is important for Belarus to resume normal cooperation on border issues with the European Union, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov said at the international conference in Minsk to discuss regional cooperation in combating illegal migration, BelTA has learned.
“It is important for us to re-engage with the European Union on border issues in order to address these problems. If our neighbors fail to solve this issue and they even make money on it (reaping political and economic dividends and other benefits), Old Europe (Brussels, capitals from London to Paris) should think about it and reach out to us. We are ready for this,” said Maksim Ryzhenkov.
